I have once again experienced the Songs of Prayer & Silence CD. Yes, “experienced”. “Listening” doesn’t capture what it is for me.The music, your voices, opens my heart. It transports me to a “place” that I have rarely &nbsp touched, except through an awakening to a transcendent idea…a personal “ah ha!” experience. I thank you all for this wonderful assist. Songs of Prayer and Silence contains a beautiful series of contemplative Hebrew chants that soothe the soul, still the mind and open the heart. The songs were developed in a retreat setting as a daily morning practice, and the album is designed to facilitate such practice at home. There is a companion booklet of sheet music available separately for musicians. The artists have been leading Contemplative Jewish Meditation retreats together across the United States for 12 years.
